• The weather says it's going to snow for the next 3 months!!!!!  Ahhhh.. us Marylanders can't take much more of that!! 

The best part of the trip was being able to spend time with the family.  Seeing Becky and Janet was such a treat.  I sit back and realize how lucky I am to have such a loving and fun family.  Though the reason for the trip was a sad one, Midge did finally get us all to come up there even in the snow!  We made that trip for her and it was an amazing one.

Like they say, there's a time to cry and a time to laugh, a time to smile.  We did share laughs and we did shed tears.  But what made me smile was just to stop and look around at all the special people I have in my life and to know that I am part of one amazing family.  Each person brings something special and unique to the family.   The thought crossed my mind in that instance that Aunt Midge was not there to share in this moment or in any future family function for that matter.  But then as I looked around her own home and saw all the faces of her family and friends and I listened to all the conversation, she was in every story being told, every smile being smiled, every laugh being laughed, every hug being given and every kiss being taken.  I then realized that she had come into our lives and left an imprint for all to remember and that she could never be gone because she lives in all of us and we will take her everywhere we all go.
